Kerala is well known as a "guide way" in the field of art and culture. In National level, Kerala is placed along with Bengal for its development in this field. Kathakali, Mohiniattam, Koodiyattam, Kalari is seen commonly in almost all nationally
organized festival and they are honored well. Bharat Bhavan was entrusted under this thought to encourage the cultural activities, art forms and languages of other states. Kala Nidhi (Natya Vadya Vidyalaya) manifests a sort of fillip to the culture and life style of people from other states in Kerala. The idea behind is to strengthen national integration by promoting the cultural tie-ups between Kerala and other states.
Kala Nidhi
The aim of this cultural institution is to promote the Cultural tastes of children who are away from their states. Here we are aimining to teach traditional dance forms such as Kuchupudi, Bharata Natyam, Odissi, Kathak and classical instruments such as sitar, sarod, flute, tabala etc.
Vadya Vidyalaya
The main idea through this Vidyalaya is to teach the basic lessons for sitar, sarod, flute and tabala. Prominent scholars in the respective field will be arranging Lectures for the students. After the completion of appreciation course each student can
specialize on any one of the art form. The idea behind appreciation course is to provide a stage for north Indian art form. For the admission to the diploma course these students gets first preference.
Natya Vidyalaya
Students who have interest for Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Kathak can join this Vidyalaya. This appreciation course introduces only the basic lessons of these dance forms. Preference will be given to those students who have passed the appreciation course to join the 1-year diploma course, which is to be started next year. The course comes with tie-ups such as guest lectures, training from prominent figures etc.
