About Bharat Bhavan
Bharat Bhavan has organised several programmes of rich variety including cultural festivals in different states. Organic farm theatre or ‘Theatrum Farme’ is an initiative of Bharat Bhavan, Which integrates farming especially organic farming with Kerala’s Cultural ethos and art forms. It co-mingles folk art forms like folk songs, dance, drama and other oral and visual traditions with the praxis of agriculture.
It has also conducted innovative programs based on progressive ideologies during special occasions such as Onam, Republic day, Independence day, Constitutional day, Gandhi Jayanthi, Children’s day, International Drama day, New year day, formation of Kerala State day etc. The joint venture programs with Alliance De Francaise under Embassy of France, Russian Cultural Centre under Embassy of Russia, South Zone Cultural Centre (under Ministry of Culture, Government of India), Indain Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Government of India. Kerala Chalachithra Academy, Kerala State Youth Welfare Board, Norka and Tourism Department has gained wide applause from the public. The international Poetry Fest, Malabar Cultural Heritage Fest, Sangamotsav (Multi Lingual Fest), International Mime Fest, Monsoon Fest, Indian Village Fest, Dance Fest, Weekly Screening world famous movies, Memoirs of Gandhiji, Rabindra Natha Tagore, Swami Vivekananda and Giethoorn to Kerala – Dutch Kerala Cultural Programme, Padmavibhushan Dr. Kapila Vatsyayanan Indian Classical Dance Festival are some of the other prestigious Programmes organised by Bharat Bhavan.
With Cultural Atlas, Theatrum Farme, Theatre Therappy Bharat Bhavan marked its legacy forever.
